Artist Statement:
Inspired by the works of Jenny Saville, I experimented with an unconventional color palette in order to exaggerate the underlying colors and tones of human skin. In doing so, I hoped to influence the viewer towards a closer inspection of skin in both physical and conceptual contexts, in all of its layers and transparencies.
